Thousands offer the funeral of Hizb militant Zahid Ahmed | KNO

Thousands of people including women reached Ganopora in shopian area of South Kashmir to offer the funeral of Hizb Boy Zahid Ahmed.

Men and women raised Pro Islam and Pro Freedom slogans in the funeral amidst tears and emotions.

Zahid, the Slain Militant was a lonely brother to four sisters and was a teacher at a local school, Greenland School before he joined militancy ranks.

Zahid, a resident of Ganopora aged 24 had joined militant ranks the last year.

Zahid was killed in an encounter with Government Forces on Monday along with two other Hizb boys in Shopian.

Meanwhile the Shopian and Pulwama districts of Southern Kashmir are observing a complete shutdown to mourn the killings of three local militants.

Mobile internet services have also been suspended temporarily in both the two Districts.

Reports reaching The Kashmiriyat said that two rounds of funeral prayers have been offered and more people are rushing to Ganopora.
